All-Inclusive Invisalign Treatment

Invisalign Q&A

What is Invisalign® ?

Invisalign® provides an attractive alternative to traditional orthodontic treatments like braces. It’s a revolutionary new way to straighten teeth. This treatment uses clear, plastic aligners that fit over your teeth to gradually align them over time.

You can easily remove the aligners for teeth cleaning and eating, but you want to wear them for at least 20 hours per day for optimal results. While you’re not eating or brushing your teeth, the Invisalign® aligners should remain in your mouth.

We want to change your life. That's the goal and promise we make when you join our dental practice in Braselton, Georgia.

Is Invisalign® really better than braces?

Because Invisalign® is so comfortable and easy to use, it’s becoming a more and more popular way to straighten teeth, particularly with young adults. Invisalign offers the following benefits over braces or other traditional orthodontic approaches:

  • Invisibility, so people never see a mouthful of metal, they see your real teeth
  • Comfort, so you don’t have to worry about your mouth getting cut up by pointy mental braces
  • Convenience, because when you need to floss, brush your teeth, or eat, you can just take out the aligners
  • Timing, since Invisalign® has been shown to work up to 50% faster than other orthodontic treatments

Invisalign takes a modern approach to straighten teeth by using totally clear, custom-made aligners. These retainer style aligners are comfortable in the mouth and virtually invisible. They work by gradually and gently shifting your teeth into place. Simply pop in a new set of aligners every two weeks and you’re set.

If you're looking to straighten your teeth without having to worry about food getting stuck in them, Invisalign is the way to go. Most people don't realize it, but when your teeth are misaligned, they can be difficult to clean. This can lead to tooth decay, which is why it's important to make sure that your teeth are properly aligned. With the Invisalign experience at Braselton Smile Studio in Braselton, GA, you can easily remove the aligner trays when brushing and flossing so that you don't have to worry about food getting stuck between your teeth during treatment. The best part about the whole Invisalign process is that most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth!

Am I a good candidate for Invisalign®?

Invisalign® can solve mild to moderate dental misalignments, like:

  • Overcrowded teeth
  • Spaces between teeth
  • Rotated teeth
  • Relapse after braces

Dr. Workman may recommend an alternative treatment if you have major orthodontic and alignment issues. Schedule an appointment to find out if Invisalign® is right for you.

What’s involved in Invisalign® treatment?

At Braselton Smile Studio, we take an "All-Inclusive" approach to Invisalign treatment. Below is what will be included in your Invisalign cost:

  1. Initial Consult
  2. X-Rays
  3. Photos
  4. All Visits Included in fee
  5. Scanning/Impressions
  6. Any Necessary Corrections
  7. *Free Set of Retainers

First, Dr. Workman examines your teeth to determine whether Invisalign® is right for you. To fully examine your teeth, she needs to either create a physical impression of them or digitally scan them into 3-D images. Dr. Workman uses these to develop a unique treatment plan specific to your invisalign needs.

Then Dr. Workman customizes clear, plastic aligners that fit your teeth. As you wear them, the aligners smoothly shift your teeth into perfect alignment. To keep your teeth moving in the right direction, she occasionally makes you new aligners. Until your smile is perfect, this process continues. Treatment is not over until you are happy with your Invisalign smile!

How Long Does Invisalign® Take?

Invisalign® is an option for straightening the most visible teeth when you smile. It’s a short-term solution that can give you the smile you want, only faster. Most adults finish Invisalign treatment and have straight smiles in as little as 6-9 months. Some complex cases can last up to 18-24  months. In some cases, noticeable results begin appearing just a few weeks after starting the Invisalign process.

It's important to remember that regular checkups with your dentist in Braselton are still needed to monitor your progress throughout treatment and make sure your teeth stay in proper alignment.

Take the customized smile assessment! It takes 30 seconds.

Easy Funding Options

It's not uncommon for people to be surprised by the cost of Invisalign. The average cost of Invisalign ranges from $3,999-$7,000. At your Braselton Invisalign dentist, the cost will range from $3,999-$6,000. At Braselton Smile Studio, one of our main goals is to have simple funding and payment options for our patients. This price includes all fees associated with treatment including 3D digital scan impressions, x-rays and office visits with our Invisalign doctors. Below are are few factors that can have an impact on the total cost of Invisalign

Complexity of treatment —The more complex your case is — such as if you have missing teeth or need deep gum contouring — the more expensive it will be because more aligners will be needed to correct your teeth over time.

Length of treatment —If you need fewer than 18 months of treatment then Invisalign could be less expensive

Invisalign® Vs. Smile Direct Club

PROS to Smile Direct Club CONS to Smile Direct Club
  • Save Money: Smile Direct Club is an inexpensive way to align your bite at home. The advertised cost for treatment with Smile Direct is $1895 for a one-time payment, or $2290 if you break your fee into monthly $85 payments.
  • High Failure Rate: Even though the procedure is cheaper than visiting a dentist’s office, there is a high failure rate that will cost you more.
  • Easy to Get Started: An orthodontist uses the scans of your smile to evaluate a treatment plan from a remote location. Without you ever meeting with your orthodontist, your aligners arrive in the mail.
  • One-Size-Fits-All Treatment: When you are considering treatment for your smile, it's important to know that there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Some patients are good candidates for Smile Direct, but others may require additional treatment or more intensive treatment. If you see a qualified Invisalign dentist, they will tell you what is best for you, and your options so you don’t waste time and money.

  • Poor Customer Service: Many Smile Direct customers report poor customer service. Phone calls are met with an automatic recording where callers must jump through hoops to finally speak to the right person.  Dr. Workman and her team are always there for you. We pride ourselves on creating a personal connection with our patients, and we want you to feel like you can reach out at any time with any concerns or questions.

  • No Buttons: Smile Direct will not utilize buttons, an important part of the Invisalign process that make it so much more reliable. Buttons are small, temporary attachments that adhere to your teeth and hold the aligners in place.

  • Paying for Multiple Impressions:

We understand that perfection is the goal. Even professional dentists don’t always get impressions perfectly on the first try, so it makes sense that many Smile Direct customers report that their impressions are rejected the first time. If your first impressions don’t turn out, you will be charged 50% of the original cost for a new testing kit.

However, we wanted to let you know that Dr. Workman does not use impressions. She uses a quick and easy scan that is more accurate and avoids gagging.

Benefits of Working With Dr. Workman

When you’re in the hands of a professional Invisalign dentist, you have the benefit of professional guidance during your treatment. If something isn’t working, Dr. Workman will be able to adjust your treatment accordingly.

Smile Direct Club users do have some support from the company, but there is no replacement for seeing a doctor in a face-to-face office setting. Dentists undergo years of schooling that give them unique insight into correcting bites and making sure they’re corrected properly.
